Day 01 – Arrival in Paro | Transfer to Thimphu

Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, meet your guide and begin your journey to Thimphu.

En route, visit:

  • Tachog Lhakhang, a 15th-century temple by Thangtong Gyalpo
  • Gagyul Lhundrup Weaving Centre, known for traditional textiles

In Thimphu, visit:

  • Memorial Chorten
  • Tashichhoe Dzong, the seat of government and monastic body

Explore Bhutan’s capital city and its cultural landmarks:

  • Buddha Dordenma, one of the largest Buddha statues in the world

Drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass (3,140m), offering panoramic Himalayan views.

  • Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful fortresses

Drive back to Paro via Dochula Pass, with a scenic stop for refreshments.
